The artwork transforms the voyage of container ships into an emotional odyssey. From afar, the ships drift like Lego bricks upon the sea; up close, they rise as vibrant, monumental mountains. Gazing at the stacked containers, the artist imagines their contents and destinations, each carrying untold stories. Over the past two years, watching loved ones depart with hope and uncertainty to distant lands, the work questions whether these containers hold their belongings or traces of lives left behind in this city. As the ships sail away, one by one, it conveys quiet wishes for the safety of those who have left, weaving a silent elegy of departure and longing.
