Cave Series

This series of works, presented through a first-person visual perspective, depicts landscapes inside and outside a cave, deconstructing everyday visuals and traditional landscape motifs to reconstruct a crowded yet solitary otherworld. It expresses resistance to the external world while seeking spiritual solace.

Confronting a seemingly normal yet utterly fractured world, where everyone appears fragile and on the verge of collapse, I dare not act rashly, choosing instead to hide and observe, only to find the ground beneath my feet unrecognisable. Unable to accept isolation by the world, I first isolate myself, building a cave to escape the noisy clamour and crafting a personal sanctuary. Through this series, I articulate struggle and loneliness, yearning for the day I can reclaim curiosity and courageously confront the collapse of both my inner world and the external one
